MondragonLingua, on the Board of Advisors of Translators Without Borders (TWB)

Nov 07, 2012

Since both organisations have similar goals, just like in 2011 we gave financial support to TWB, this year we have accepted their invitation to be part of their Board of Advisors, serving their great cause with our knowledge and expertise

Translators Without Borders is a USA-based NGO founded in France in 1993 as Traducteurs Sans Frontières (TSF). Its mission is to increase access to knowledge through humanitarian translation donated by professional translators who volunteer their time to help vetted NGOs that focus on health, nutrition and education. There are three types of humanitarian translations at TWB: crisis translations needed urgently to inform the people in crisis situations, translations that support an NGO’s operations, and educational/health translations that directly support people in need by giving information in local languages like Swahili or Amharic.

At MondragonLingua, a cooperative of MONDRAGON Corporation, we consider social transformation to be one of our fundamental principles, as we seek to have a positive influence on society and contribute, to the best of our abilities, to make this world a better place to live in.

Since both organisations have similar goals, just like in 2011 we gave financial support to TWB, this year we have accepted their invitation to be part of their Board of Advisors, serving their great cause with our knowledge and expertise.
