More than 6,000 videos and 5,000 transcriptions in Ahotsak.com

Ahotsak.com, the website created to reflect the language diversity of the Basque Country, now contains over 6,000 on-line videos.

The project Euskal Herriko Ahotsak (The Voices of the Basque Country) was launched in 2003, and the website was presented in 2008. Since then, recordings of over 3,000 speakers and over 25,000 fragments have been gathered from more than 180 municipalities. Moreover, the website now contains 6,137 videos

Users can read more than 5,000 transcriptions and watch and listen to over 6,000 videos. Ahotsak.com is an initiative of Badihardugu Euskara Elkartea, a member of Langune, and was awarded the Sareko Argia Prize 2011 last January.
